Dr Drinkwine

It is a privilege to continue with the wonderful tradition our middle school started back in 2001. We continue upon the amazing pursuits we’ve embarked on the last couple of years to make this school year (2020-2021), even better.
It is amazing to think of just how much we accomplished last school year (2019-2020). It really was a banner year as we accomplished the following:
  1. Begun a new Audio/Visual Production Class incorporating our Recording Studio.
  2. Started a Boys and Girls Soccer team in which we hosted our first ever soccer match on campus.
  3. Earned TSIN (Tennessee STEM Innovation Network) designation from the State Department of Education.
  4. Earned National School of Merit and National School of Distinction designation for Beta Club
  5. Had a banner year in student-athletics winning the County/Conference championships in the following sports: Volleyball, Football, Girls Basketball.
  6. Won the James C. Haile Middle School Boys State Tournament Championship
  7. Begun our first ever *Best Buddies* Chapter with over 25 students partnering up with our friends who have special needs.
  8. Had our very own Dance Teacher, Molly Anderson, win Maury County Public Schools System-wide *Teacher of the Year.*
It is with great excitement we look boldly into our future as we embark on an unprecedented year in which we will continue to innovate, problem-solve, and think critically while also keeping students safe amidst a global pandemic. The 2020-2021 school year may look different with some of our students participating in remote learning and with the remaining students who participate in our traditional setting experiencing daily temperature and health screenings while also cleaning and sanitizing regularly in a socially distant environment. However, one thing remains the same: we will continue to love kids, focus on relationships and connections while keeping an eye on teaching and learning.
If there ever was a time for us all to work toward these common ideals, it is NOW. Now, more than ever. Our future needs us and if our student body is any indication, our future is bright.
It is an honor to continue to serve as our Principal. Let’s continue to blaze trails.
